The Newaygo Lions basketball team scored 67 points and restricted the visiting Orchard View Cardinals to 58 in the Lions non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kent City for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Newaygo will battle a Eagles team coming off a 59-45 non-league loss to Hopkins (Hopkins, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.

The Cardinals (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Manistee (Manistee, MI). The Chippewas come into the Western Michigan Lakes - Lakes contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Manistee prevailed over Frankfort (Frankfort, MI), 52-44, in a non-league contest.
