The Seymour Indians basketball team (Payson, IL), was overwhelmed 72-41 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Trojans (Concord, IL)

The Trojans now possess a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carrollton for a Western Illinois Valley battle on Friday, December 15. Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia will confront a Hawks team coming off a 38-31 non-league win over Carlinville (Carlinville, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 3-5.

The Indians (3-5) will now prepare for their battle against Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL). The Tornadoes come into the non-league battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Abingdon/Avon trounced Elmwood (Elmwood, IL), 44-40, in a non-league battle.
