Spring Lake Lakers (Spring Lake, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Union Red Hawks (Grand Rapids, MI), 69-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Spring Lake upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Lakers travel to Grandville (Grandville, MI) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Grandville lost 50-47 in their recent non-league bout against Forest Hills Central (Grand Rapids, MI)

Next up, the Red Hawks play the Mattawan Wildcats (Mattawan, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Union will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 66-61 league loss to St. Joseph (St. Joseph, MI).
