The Waco Lions (Waco, TX) basketball nipped the host Temple Wildcats (Temple, TX), 44-43 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Lions (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Killeen (Killeen, TX). The Kangaroos go into the 5A Region III District 22 test with a 1-14 record. In their last test, Killeen was tipped by Harker Heights (Harker Heights, TX), 58-51, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they travel to Midway for a 6A Region II District 12 test on Friday, December 15. Temple will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 56-26 non-league loss to Ellison (Killeen, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 7-10.
