Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers (Houston, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Austin Mustangs (Houston, TX), 39-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Houston Math Science & Tech upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Chavez (Houston, TX) to play the Lobos in a 6A Region III District 18 bout on Friday, December 15. The Lobos go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Chavez won 41-22 in their recent league bout against Westbury (Houston, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Milby Buffs (Houston, TX) in a 5A Region III District 19 bout, on Monday, December 18. Austin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.
