In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats basketball team scored a tight 58-52 triumph over the Vandalia Vandals.

In their next game, the Bobcats face the Altamont Indians (Altamont, IL) in a National Trail match, on Thursday, December 14. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will attempt to move on its 7-5 season record. The Indians enter the match with a 7-2 record after their 78-73 league win over North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL).
