Earlham Cardinals (Earlham, IA) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host West Central Valley Wildcats (Stuart, IA), 37-31 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Earlham improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Coon Rapids-Bayard (Coon Rapids, IA) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 14. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Coon Rapids-Bayard lost 48-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Audubon (Audubon, IA)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Madrid Tigers (Madrid, IA) in a West Central challenge, on Friday, December 15. West Central Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 0-7 record after their 59-17 league loss to Van Meter (Van Meter, IA).
