The Elk Rapids Elks (Elk Rapids, MI) basketball felled the visiting Glen Lake Lakers (Maple City, MI), 49-39 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Elks (3-0) will now prepare for their test against St. Francis (Traverse City, MI). The Gladiators go into the Lake Michigan test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, St. Francis was beaten by Cadillac (Cadillac, MI), 27-20, in a non-league test.
The Lakers now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Frankfort for a Northwest match on Thursday, December 14. Glen Lake will meet a Panthers team coming off a 60-19 non-league win over Cedarville (Cedarville, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 1-1.
