Illinois High School Basketball - Lincoln-Way West topped by Lincoln-Way East

The Lincoln-Way East Griffins basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Lincoln-Way West Warriors to 42 in the Griffins non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Griffins now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Providence Catholic for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 13. Lincoln-Way East will battle a Celtics team coming off a 63-39 non-league win over Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL). The Celtics record now stands at 7-4.

The Warriors (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Stagg (Palos Hills, IL). The Chargers come into the SouthWest Suburban - Red contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Stagg was defeated by Lincoln-Way Central (New Lenox, IL), 41-34, in a league contest.
