The Maine Central Institute Huskies basketball team (Pittsfield, ME), was nudged 40-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME)
The Black Bears now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Abram for a non-league battle on Friday, December 15. Maranacook will battle a Roadrunners team coming off a 73-22 non-league loss to Valley (Bingham, ME). The Roadrunners record now stands at 1-1.
The Huskies (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Belfast (Belfast, ME). The Lions come into the B North battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Belfast edged Winslow (Winslow, ME), 60-26, in a league battle.
