Sullivan Golden Arrows (Sullivan, IN) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Shakamak Lakers (Jasonville, IN), 34-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Sullivan upgrades its record to 10-2 on the campaign. The Golden Arrows host Greencastle (Greencastle, IN) to play the Tiger Cubs in a Western Indiana bout on Friday, December 15. The Tiger Cubs come into the bout with a record of 4-7. Greencastle won 39-37 in their recent league bout against South Putnam (Greencastle, IN)

Next up, the Lakers play the Linton-Stockton Miners (Linton, IN) in a Southwestern Indiana bout, on Thursday, December 14. Shakamak will attempt to upgrade on its 10-3 season record. The Miners come into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 63-29 non-league win over Owen Valley (Spencer, IN).
