In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Starkville Academy Volunteers basketball team scored a decisive 52-25 triumph over the Smithville Seminoles.
In their next game, the Volunteers meet the Magnolia Heights Chiefs (Senatobia, MS) in a MAIS 5A District 1 match, on Friday, December 15. Starkville Academy will attempt to better on its 10-5 season record. The Chiefs enter the match with a 0-2 record after their 58-16 league loss to Bayou Academy (Cleveland, MS).
