Carmel Padres (Carmel, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Menlo School Knights (Atherton, CA), 64-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carmel upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Padres travel to Oakwood (Morgan Hill, CA) to play the Hawks in a bout on Friday, January 5. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Knights play the Serra Padres (San Mateo, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 15. Menlo School will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Padres go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 55-26 non-league win over Sacred Heart Prep (Atherton, CA).
