The Cypress Bay Lightning (Weston, FL) basketball knocked off the host Everglades Gators (Miramar, FL), 62-42 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Lightning (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Monarch (Coconut Creek, FL). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 5-0 record. In their last test, Monarch notched a victory over Plantation (Plantation, FL), 37-32, in a non-league test.
The Gators now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Flanagan for a non-league test on Thursday, December 14. Everglades will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 76-23 non-league win over Fort Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale, FL). The Falcons record now stands at 1-1.
