Florida High School Basketball - Forest holds off Vanguard

December 12, 2024: Ocala, FL 34480

The Forest Wildcats basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting Vanguard Knights to 54 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now have a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Palm Harbor University for a non-league game on Friday, December 13. Forest will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 42-41 non-league loss to Countryside (Clearwater, FL). The Hurricanes record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Vanguard falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to South Sumter (Bushnell, FL) to confront the Raiders in a non-league game on Friday, December 13. The Raiders go into the game with a record of 1-5. South Sumter lost 55-42 in their recent non-league game against Hernando (Brooksville, FL)
