Texas High School Basketball - Zavalla holds off Gary

In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Zavalla Eagles basketball team scored a close 42-37 triumph over the Gary Bobcats.
The Eagles (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Kennard (Kennard, TX). The Tigers go into the 1A Region IV District 27 contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Kennard was tipped by Leon (Jewett, TX), 60-12, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bobcats confront the Shelbyville Dragons (Shelbyville, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 13. Gary will attempt to better on its 3-14 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 10-3 record after their 49-41 non-league loss to Beckville (Beckville, TX).
