In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Lyford Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 46-44 triumph over the George West Longhorns.
The Bulldogs (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ingleside (Ingleside, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Ingleside was tipped by Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX), 49-42, in a non-league contest.
