The Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) basketball edged the visiting Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI), 67-66 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Huskies now possess a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chariho for a Division II test on Monday, December 15.

The Thunderbolts (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Classical (Providence, RI). The Purple come into the Division I test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Classical held off La Salle Academy (Providence, RI), 74-46, in a league test.
