The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the East (Youngstown, OH) and the host Newton Falls Tigers (Newton Falls, OH), observed East's basketball team overwhelm Newton Falls by a score of 67-35.
The (5-1) will now prepare for their battle against Harding (Warren, OH). The Raiders enter the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Harding walloped Ursuline (Youngstown, OH), 55-52, in a non-league battle.
The Tigers now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crestview for a Mahoning Valley - Grey battle on Tuesday, December 16. Newton Falls will meet a Rebels squad coming off a 49-36 non-league loss to Springfield (New Middletown, OH). The Rebels record now stands at 1-2.
