In Friday's league contest, the visiting Elk River Elks basketball team scored a good 57-46 triumph over the St. Michael-Albertville Knights.

The Elks (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Rogers (Rogers, MN). The Royals enter the AAAA Section 8 match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Rogers was dropped by Brainerd (Brainerd, MN), 71-63, in a league game.

With the loss, St. Michael-Albertville falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Knights host Bemidji (Bemidji, MN) to confront the Lumberjacks in a AAAA Section 8 game on Tuesday, December 16. The Lumberjacks go into the game with a record of 1-2. Bemidji won 69-64 in their recent non-league outing against Duluth East (Duluth, MN)
