The McCook Bison (McCook, NE) basketball edged the host Goodland Cowboys (Goodland, KS), 68-66 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Bison now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Life Prep for a non-league test on Saturday, December 13. McCook will encounter a Fire squad coming off a 66-48 non-league win over Ulysses (Ulysses, KS). The Fire record now stands at 13-1.

The Cowboys (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Scott (Scott City, KS). The Beavers come into the Great Western test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Scott Lawrence Free State (Lawrence, KS), 0-0, in a non-league test.
