Texas High School Basketball - Hawkins holds off Pineywoods Community Academy

The Hawkins Hawks basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Pineywoods Community Academy Timberwolves to 77 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Hawks now have a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Jefferson for a non-league game on Friday, December 12. Hawkins will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 91-23 non-league win over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent (, ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-1.
The Timberwolves (10-6) will now prepare for their outing against Hudson (Lufkin, TX). The Hornets enter the non-league outing with a 5-9 record. In their last outing, Hudson was nipped by Onalaska (Onalaska, TX), 72-70, in a non-league outing.
