In Friday's non-league test, the Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM) basketball squad got by the host Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM), by a score of 76-70.

Next, the Eagles encounter the Animas Panthers (Animas, NM) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 13. Hondo Valley will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Panthers come into the test with a 1-5 record after their 51-48 non-league win over Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM).
