Georgia High School Basketball - Monroe nudges Lee County

December 12, 2025: Leesburg, GA 31763

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA) and the host Lee County Trojans (Leesburg, GA), observed Monroe's basketball team edge Lee County by a score of 60-54.

The Golden Tornadoes (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Columbus (Columbus, GA). The Blue Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 2-6 record. In their last challenge, Columbus was tipped by Chattahoochee County (Cusseta, GA), 69-34, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Carver Tigers (Columbus, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 19. Lee County will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record.
