The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) and the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV), observed Lincoln's basketball team edge Nicholas County by a score of 65-64.

With the victory, Lincoln advances its record to 1-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Grafton (Grafton, WV) to meet the Bearcats in a Big Ten battle on Wednesday, December 17. The Bearcats enter the battle with a record of 2-0. Grafton won 59-47 in their recent non-league battle against Southern (Oakland, MD)

The Grizzlies now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to PikeView for a Coalfield AAA battle on Tuesday, December 16.
