In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Newman Smith Trojans basketball team scored a good 67-55 win over the Paschal Panthers.
The Trojans (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Seguin (Arlington, TX). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 8-2 record. In their last contest, Seguin dropped by Denton (Denton, TX), 69-66, in a non-league contest.
Next up, the Panthers face the Nimitz Vikings (Irving, TX) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 13. Paschal will attempt to advance on its 1-10 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 51-45 non-league loss to Boswell (Fort Worth, TX).
