The Sharpstown Apollos (Houston, TX) basketball edged the host North Forest Bulldogs (Houston, TX), 42-39 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Apollos (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside (Houston, TX). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Northside was tipped by Austin (Houston, TX), 53-31, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Bulldogs meet the Yates Lions (Houston, TX) in a 4A Region III District 20 battle, on Tuesday, December 16. North Forest will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 9-1 record after their 84-81 non-league win over Willis (Willis, TX).
