Honey Grove Warriors (Honey Grove, TX) backers went home thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team tip the visiting Grand Saline Indians (Grand Saline, TX), 38-36 in a non-league contest.
The Warriors (13-2) will now prepare for their contest against Celeste (Celeste, TX). The Blue Devils go into the 2A Region II District 14 contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Celeste nipped Ector (Ector, TX), 50-19, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Indians confront the Chisum Mustangs (Paris, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 12. Grand Saline will attempt to better on its 11-10 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 8-11 record after their 25-19 non-league loss to Tournament Opponent (, ).
