Next, the Hornets clash with the Ira Bulldogs (Ira, TX) in a 1A Region II District 14 outing, on Tuesday, December 16. Highland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a 9-6 record after their 48-40 non-league loss to Jayton (Jayton, TX).

The Owls (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against Ozona (Ozona, TX). The Lions go into the 2A Region I District 7 bout with a 13-3 record. In their last bout, Ozona was beaten by Stanton (Stanton, TX), 51-45, in a non-league bout.
