The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mingus Marauders (Cottonwood, AZ) and the host Thatcher Eagles (Thatcher, AZ), observed Mingus's basketball team overcome Thatcher by a margin of 57-43.

The Marauders (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Payson (Payson, AZ). The Longhorns come into the non-league challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Payson thwarted ALA - Queen Creek (Queen Creek, AZ), 73-15, in a non-league match.

The Eagles now own a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crismon for a non-league match on Saturday, December 13. Thatcher will meet a Rattlers squad coming off a 54-51 non-league win over Walden Grove (Sahuarita, AZ). The Rattlers record now stands at 6-2.
