In Friday's non-league test, the Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI) basketball squad defeated the host Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI), by a tally of 29-20.
The Mariners now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Mt. Hope for a Division II bout on Tuesday, December 16.
With the loss, Prout falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI) to encounter the Villa Novans in a Division III test on Friday, December 19. The Villa Novans come into the test with a record of 0-1.
