Texas High School Basketball - Amarillo overwhelms Childress

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) and the visiting Childress Bobcats (Childress, TX), saw Amarillo's basketball squad wallop Childress by a tally of 85-39.

With the victory, Amarillo improves its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Sandies host Monterey (Lubbock, TX) to confront the Plainsmen in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 16. The Plainsmen come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Monterey lost 69-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Tascosa (Amarillo, TX)

Next up, the Bobcats confront the Palo Duro Dons (Amarillo, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. Childress will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Dons come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 65-61 non-league loss to Randall (Amarillo, TX).
