Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Avella ripped by Freedom Area

The Freedom Area Bulldogs basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Avella Eagles to 30 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Neshannock for a WPIAL 3A 1 contest on Friday, December 16. Freedom Area will meet a Lancers team coming off a 68-47 non-league win over West Middlesex (West Middlesex, PA). The Lancers record now stands at 3-1.

The Eagles (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Mapletown (Greensboro, PA). The Maples enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Mapletown triumphed over Frazier (Perryopolis, PA), 57-51, in a non-league contest.
