Sutton Mustangs (Sutton, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles (Bruning, NE), 60-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sutton upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Mustangs host St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE) to clash with the Bluehawks in a C2 District 10 bout on Friday, December 16. The Bluehawks go into the bout with a record of 2-3. St. Cecilia won 40-37 in their recent non-league bout against Ord (Ord, NE)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Bruning-Davenport/Shickley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 84-41 non-league win over Hampton (Hampton, NE).
