Groesbeck Goats (Groesbeck, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Crockett Bulldogs (Crockett, TX), 45-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Groesbeck upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Goats travel to Fairfield (Fairfield, TX) to clash with the Eagles in a 3A Region III District 20 bout on Friday, December 16. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Fairfield lost 76-45 in their recent non-league bout against Athens (Athens, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Livingston Lions (Livingston, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 16. Crockett will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 79-66 non-league win over Woodville (Woodville, TX).
