Lockney Longhorns (Lockney, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Crosbyton Chiefs (Crosbyton, TX), 47-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lockney upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Longhorns host Smyer (Smyer, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 2A Region I District 4 bout on Tuesday, December 20. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 2-11. Smyer lost 53-27 in their recent non-league bout against Sundown (Sundown, TX)

Next up, the Chiefs play the Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 15. Crosbyton will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 51-48 non-league win over Farwell (Farwell, TX).
