Gibbon Buffaloes (Gibbon, NE) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Silver Lake Mustangs (Roseland, NE), 44-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gibbon upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Wood River (Wood River, NE) to play the Eagles in a C1 District 9 bout on Saturday, December 17. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Wood River lost 41-35 in their recent non-league bout against Blue Hill (Blue Hill, NE)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Kenesaw Blue Devils (Kenesaw, NE) in a D1 District 8 bout, on Friday, December 16. Silver Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 69-26 non-league loss to Doniphan-Trumbull (Doniphan, NE).
