The Grove City Eagles (Grove City, PA) basketball felled the host Oil City Oilers (Oil City, PA), 53-39 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Mercyhurst Prep (Erie, PA). The Lakers go into the non-league test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Mercyhurst Prep was outscored by McDowell (Erie, PA), 68-33, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, Oil City moves to 3-2 on the year. The Oilers travel to Meadville (Meadville, PA) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Friday, December 16. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 1-3. Meadville lost 59-53 in their recent league match against Franklin (Franklin, PA)
