Nebraska High School Basketball - Heartland Lutheran overwhelmed by McCool Junction

The McCool Junction Mustangs basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the host Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets to 4 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shelby-Rising City for a D1 District 3 contest on Friday, December 16. McCool Junction will battle a Huskies team coming off a 41-29 non-league loss to Sandy Creek (Fairfield, NE). The Huskies record now stands at 2-2.

The Red Hornets (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller (Sumner, NE). The Mustangs come into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller was routed by Red Cloud (Red Cloud, NE), 56-46, in a non-league contest.
