Illinois High School Basketball - Joppa-Maple Grove ripped by Meridian

The Meridian Bobcats basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers to 36 in the Bobcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bobcats now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fulton City for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 17. Meridian will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 73-34 league loss to Carlisle County (Bardwell, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-5.

The Rangers (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Shawnee (Wolf Lake, IL). The Redskins enter the South Egyptian contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Shawnee was routed by Pope County (Golconda, IL), 78-26, in a non-league contest.
