The Kaplan Pirates basketball team (Kaplan, LA), was nudged 65-61 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Vermilion Catholic Eagles (Abbeville, LA)
The Eagles now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Edmund for a non-league battle on Friday, December 16. Vermilion Catholic will battle a Fighting Blue Jays team coming off a 67-53 non-league loss to Port Barre (Port Barre, LA). The Fighting Blue Jays record now stands at 3-1.
The Pirates (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 3-4 record.
