Redwater Dragons (Redwater, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Maud Cardinals (Maud, TX), 55-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Redwater upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Dragons travel to Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 15. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Martins Mill won 40-36 in their recent non-league bout against North Hopkins (Sulphur Springs, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Detroit Eagles (Detroit, TX) in a 2A Region II District 16 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Maud will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 48-28 non-league loss to Trenton (Trenton, TX).
