Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the North Woods grizzlies (Cook, MN) and the visiting Nashwauk-Keewatin Spartans (Nashwauk, MN), saw North Woods's basketball squad wallop Nashwauk-Keewatin by a tally of 99-70.

With the victory, North Woods improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The grizzlies travel to Northland (Remer, MN) to confront the Eagles in a A Section 7 challenge on Friday, December 16. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-1. Northland won 89-46 in their recent league challenge against Hill City (Hill City, MN)

Next up, the Spartans confront the Cherry Tigers (Iron, MN) in a A Section 7 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Nashwauk-Keewatin will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record.
