The Nederland Bulldogs basketball team scored 57 points and held the host Vidor Pirates to 52 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kelly Catholic for a non-league contest on Friday, December 16. Nederland will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 63-49 league win over St. John XXIII (Katy, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-10.

The Pirates (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX). The Mustangs enter the 4A Region III District 19 contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, West Orange-Stark was nudged by Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX), 77-46, in a non-league contest.
