In Tuesday's non-league outing, the AGWSR Cougars (Ackley, IA) basketball squad nipped the host Wapsie Valley Warriors (Fairbank, IA), by a margin of 38-31.
The Cougars (4-0) will now prepare for their outing against North Tama (Traer, IA). The Red Hawks go into the non-league outing with a 2-2 record.
The Warriors now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Sumner-Fredericksburg for a North Iowa Cedar - East outing on Friday, December 16. Wapsie Valley will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 50-46 non-league loss to Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA). The Cougars record now stands at 4-2.
