Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Chestatee War Eagles (Gainesville, GA), 62-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Walnut Grove upgrades its record to 9-2 on the season. The Warriors travel to Marist (Atlanta, GA) to clash with the War Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 21. The War Eagles go into the bout with a record of 4-2.

Next up, the War Eagles clash with the East Forsyth Broncos (Gainesville, GA) in a AAAA Region 8A bout, on Friday, December 16. Chestatee will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 58-54 non-league loss to North Oconee (Bogart, GA).
