The Grand Rapids Thunderhawks basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Wolverines to 40 in the Thunderhawks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Thunderhawks now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Princeton for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. Grand Rapids will play a Tigers squad coming off a 71-47 league loss to Sauk Rapids-Rice (Sauk Rapids, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 1-4.

Next up, the Wolverines play the International Falls Broncos (International Falls, MN) in a AA Section 7 bout, on Friday, December 16. Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Broncos come into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 63-35 non-league win over Hill City/Northland (Hill City, MN).
