In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Hays-Lodge Pole Thunder Birds (Hays, MT) basketball squad beat the visiting Rocky Boy Northern Stars (Box Elder, MT), by a margin of 51-36.
The Thunder Birds (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against North Star (Rudyard, MT). The Knights go into the C District 9 outing with a 2-0 record. In their last outing, North Star defeated White Sulphur Springs (White Sulphur Springs, MT), 47-36, in a non-league outing.
The Northern Stars now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Shelby for a B District 1 outing on Friday, January 20.
