The Highland Hornets basketball team (Roscoe, TX), dropped 51-40 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX)
The Mustangs now possess a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sweetwater for a non-league battle on Friday, December 16. Sands will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 43-34 non-league win over Midland Christian (Midland, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-9.
The Hornets (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Trent (Trent, TX). The Gorillas come into the 1A Region II District 14 battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Trent dropped by Moran (Moran, TX), 32-25, in a non-league battle.
