The Mattawan Wildcats basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Norrix Knights to 34 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Portage Central for a Southwestern Michigan - West contest on Friday, December 16. Mattawan will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 31-24 non-league win over Gull Lake (Richland, MI). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-2.

The Knights (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Portage Northern (Portage, MI). The Huskies come into the Southwestern Michigan - West contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Portage Northern was defeated by Lakeview (Battle Creek, MI), 39-19, in a league contest.
